If this is winter’s last stand then it certainly is going out like a lamb. While it didn’t rival some of our classic spring blizzards and the long range forecast doesn’t look all that scary, I wouldn’t mind just one more mega storm for the season. But the below zero wind chills can go away anytime by me.
I agree. I missed the snow this year. I’m waiting to see if the owls are nesting in the same spot–we saw them flying into the nest in January, and hanging out in the nest tree with prey in January, but have seen no sign of them since. Fingers crossed.
Thanks Laurie – I’ve been by the “owl tree” several times in the last month but have yet to see any activity but, like yourself, hope they return – if not to the old haunt, at least somewhere close to it!
